Erected in 1875, the Diocese of Fond du Lac began publishing a regular paper for the people of the diocese and the Church under a variety of names and with various content over the years. These papers provide insight into the development of the diocese on many levels. The papers' various names:
- The Wisconsin Calendar (1875-1882) - published in conjunction with the Diocese of Wisconsin
- The Diocese of Fond du Lac (1882-1899)
- American Churchmen (1900-1924)
- Diocese of Fond du Lac (1925-1981)
- Fond du Lac Clarion (1981-2006)
- the Clarion (2006-present)
The Diocesan Archivist has begun to scan archival issues to provide access to the general public.
