The General Convention is the governing body of The Episcopal Church. Every three years it meets as a bicameral legislature that includes the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops, composed of deputies and bishops from each diocese. Elected from the Diocesan Convention to the House of Deputies are three laity and three clergy . This diocesan bishop is a deputy to the House of Bishops. Read more about General Convention here.
The Lambeth Conference is convened by the Archbishop of Canterbury and is an international meeting of Anglican bishops. The conference discusses church and world affairs and the global mission of the Anglican Communion for the decade ahead. The 2022 theme was ‘God’s Church for God’s World - walking, listening and witnessing together' and explored what it means for the Anglican Communion to be responsive to the needs of a 21st Century world. Meeting around every ten years since 1867, the Lambeth Conference is one of the four Instruments of Unity in the Anglican Communion. More here.
